SMK Jalan 3 Bangi's sports equipment store razed in early morning fire


KUALA LUMPUR: A sports equipment store at SMK Jalan 3 Bangi was destroyed in a fire Friday (Nov 14) morning.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said that no casualties or injuries were recorded in the incident.

He said that the fire department received an emergency call at 6:54am Friday, after which 16 firefighters from the Bangi and Kajang Fire and Rescue Stations, along with four fire engines, were dispatched to the scene.

"The fire involved a building measuring 20x60 square feet used as a sports equipment store. The building was completely burned," he said in a statement Friday.

The fire was brought under control by 7:07am and was fully extinguished by 7:30am. – Bernama
