ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor has announced a special RM70.1mil incentive for federal civil servants in the state, a first in the state’s history.

Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the incentive, known as the Federal Civil Servant Special Incentive, would benefit 140,185 federal officers serving in Johor.

“Each federal civil servant working in Johor will receive RM500 as a token of appreciation for their service,” he said when tabling the Johor Budget 2026 at Bangunan Sultan Ismail on Thursday (Nov 13).

Onn Hafiz stated that the state government would reward its staff with a special incentive equivalent to two months’ salary for Johor civil servants, including federal officers whose salaries are disbursed by the state government.

Onn Hafiz said the payment would be made in December as a gesture of gratitude for the hard work and dedication shown by Johor’s public servants throughout the year.

“I hope this incentive will serve as a motivation to continue delivering excellent service with integrity and commitment for Bangsa Johor and our beloved state,” he said.
