MetMalaysia issues advisory for tropical depression Kalmaegi


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued an advisory on tropical depression Kalmaegi detected at a latitude of 14.0 north and longitude 105.0 east, approximately 121km northwest of Stung Treng, Cambodia.

In a statement on Friday (Nov 7), MetMalaysia said the storm was moving west at 35km/h, with a maximum wind speed of 62km/h.

It added that the tropical depression is located about 920km northeast of Tumpat, Kelantan.

"This condition may cause strong winds and rough seas over the waters of South China Sea," the statement read. – Bernama
