Married couple, among three charged with submitting false procurement quotation for LIMA25


‎SHAH ALAM: A married couple and a member of the air force pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here on Friday (Oct 31) to a charge of submitting a false quotation worth RM24,200 for the supply of equipment for the 2025 Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025).

Citra Angrini Alam Mappiase, 36, her husband Shahrul Nizam Shaf'in, 51, and Mohamad Amir Bakri Che Abdul, 32, made the plea before judge Datuk Mohd Nasir Nordin.

‎‎According to the charge, Citra Angrini is alleged to have deceived the Chief of Staff of the Air Operations Command Headquarters (MPOU) in Subang by submitting a false quotation from Protective Trading & Advisory Services, valued at RM24,200, in the MPOU RMAF e-Procurement system.

The action allegedly prompted an officer with the rank of Major General to approve D Draxis Group Sdn Bhd as the supplier of support equipment for the LIMA25 assignment.

Meanwhile, Defence Ministry defence industry division principal assistant secretary Shahrul Nizam and air force corporal in procurement Mohamad Amir were charged with abetting Citra Angrini in committing the offence.

Citra Angrini and Shahrul Nizam were charged with committing the offence at a premises in Kota Damansara, while Mohamad Amir was charged with committing the offence at MPOU Subang, on May 13 this year.

‎‎All three of them were charged under Section 417 of the Penal Code, while the charges against Shahrul Nizam and Mohamad Amir were also read under Section 109 of the Penal Code.

They face a maximum prison sentence of five years or a fine, or both, upon conviction.

‎‎The court allowed Citra Angrini bail of RM8,000 with one surety, while bail for Shahrul Nizam dan Mohamad Amir was set at RM7,000 with one surety each.

They were also ordered to surrender their passports to the court, report at a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office once a month, and not to intimidate witnesses.

The court set Dec 8 for mention.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Alis Izzati Azurin Mohd Rusdi, from MACC, appeared for the prosecution, while lawyer Muhammad Nazreen Jaafar Abdullah represented the married couple. Mohamad Amir was unrepresented. - Bernama
