Malaysia remains committed to strengthening strategic ties with US, says Anwar


GYEONGJU (South Korea): Malaysia will continue to strengthen its strategic ties with the United States on the principles of openness, equitability and mutual respect to ensure regional and global stability, prosperity and peace, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a statement after his bilateral meeting with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent here, Anwar said Bessent expressed his appreciation to Malaysia for the warm hospitality extended to President Donald Trump and the US delegation during their recent visit to Kuala Lumpur.
