Malaysia recorded RM166.38bil in exports to US for Jan–Sept 2025


KUALA LUMPUR: Total exports to the United States amounted to RM166.38bil for January to September 2025, the Dewan Rakyat heard on Wednesday (Oct 29).

International Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said this during a special briefing on the new reciprocal trade agreement with the United States.

He said the government acted with prudence to safeguard business continuity, export markets and national dignity during the negotiations.

“Malaysia will remain steadfast in its principle of neutrality, ensuring the nation’s interests and sovereignty are protected,” he said.

Tengku Zafrul said Malaysia must continue to negotiate with the United States despite unilateral tariff pressures.

He said this is in the interest of the economy and the nation.
