132 nabbed in Sibu drug crackdown

SIBU: A police crackdown on drugs here has seen 132 suspects arrested this month under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 as part of Ops Tapis Narkotik.

Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili (pic, centre) said one of the arrests was made under Section 39B of the Act for drug trafficking, with a 57-year-old man detained on Wednesday (Oct 22) at a residence in Lorong Rejang Park.
