KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several areas in Kedah, Perak and Selangor until 1pm on Thursday (Oct 23).
In a statement issued at 10.20am MetMalaysia said the areas expected to be affected are Langkawi in Kedah, and the districts of Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Manjung, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak in Perak.
Several districts in Selangor are also expected to experience similar weather conditions, namely Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Klang.
As such, the public is reminded to always be alert to such weather conditions as they have the potential to cause flash floods and temporary damage in the affected areas. - Bernama
