Man found dead in locked car near Bandar Cassia toll plaza in Penang


BATU KAWAN: A man has been found dead in a parked car near the rest area at the Bandar Cassia toll plaza here.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director John Sagun Francis said police alerted them at 4.10pm of an unconscious man inside a car.

He said a team of five firemen from the Batu Kawan station were dispatched to the scene.

"The commander conducted an initial assessment before directing the team to open the car door," he said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 23).

The victim, 43, was found in the driver's seat and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was handed over to the police for further action and the operation concluded at 6.16pm. – Bernama
