Free Penang ferry trips on Oct 20 for Deepavali


GEORGE TOWN: Malaysians will be able to enjoy free ferry service on Oct 20 in conjunction with Deepavali celebrations.

The Penang Port Commission (PPC) and Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) announced, in a statement on their official social media page, that free ferry services will be offered to Malaysian passengers on Oct 20, 2025.

"In conjunction with Deepavali celebrations this year, we are announcing free ferry services to Malaysians.

"The trips are as per the existing ferry service schedule," it said in the post on Thursday (Oct 16).

It further read that one must present their MyKad/MyKid at the ferry terminal.
