THE termite-infested Gopeng Tamil school will see the pests problem solved under the 13th Malaysia Plan, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The school, which has been serving the local community for more than 60 years, had undergone some repairs but a full refurbishment is needed to ensure students’ safety.

Gopeng MP Tan Kar Hing made the announcement at a Deepavali event organised by the local women’s associations.

> The cinema industry in Tamil Nadu was shocked to find out that actress Nayanthara was targeted with a fake bomb threat, Malaysia Nanban reported.

An email was apparently sent to the director-general of police’s office in Chennai, claiming there was a bomb in Nayanthara’s house in Alwarpet.

Police acted immediately, sending a bomb squad and sniffer dogs to her home where they determined it was a hoax.
