Melaka teen gang-raped by senior students, police arrest four


MELAKA: A Form Three schoolgirl at a secondary school here is suffering trauma, including refusing to attend school, after she was allegedly gang-raped by two senior students.

According to Sinar Harian, the incident occured at a classroom in the victim's school in Alor Gajah at 2.30pm on Oct 2.

The alleged suspects recorded the sexual assault which was also witnessed by two other students.

Sources said the incident was discovered after the video was circulated among students.

It was later reported to teachers and subsequently became known to the victim's mother on Friday (Oct 10) evening who then made a police report.

Following the police report, all four suspects were detained on the same day the police report was made.

The case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code.

Meanwhile, Melaka police chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar, who was contacted by Sinar Harian, confirmed receiving the report and said the case is still under investigation.

"All suspects are remanded for six days until Oct 16 to assist with the investigation," he said.
