Seremban school guard, boyfriend arrested to assist in probe into sexual assault on pupil


SEREMBAN: A security guard at a primary school here and her boyfriend have been detained by police to help in investigations into the alleged molest of a nine-year-old female pupil.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the 22-year-old woman and her 25-year-old lover were detained following a report lodged by the alleged victim's mother.

He said the mother, in her report made on Oct 7, claimed that her daughter was raped by a man in the school toilet.

"She claimed her daughter was raped when she went to use the toilet at around 9.30am

"However, the girl was then sent for a medical check up and the doctors confirmed that she was not raped," he said, adding that there was however an attempt to rape the victim.

Dep Comm Alzafny said the duo were subsequently detained to assist in investigations.

He said they have been remanded for seven days until Oct 14.

The case, he said, was being probed under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
