Madani Budget 2026 reflects govt's priorities, nation's direction, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: The Madani Budget 2026 is not merely an annual financial document but reflects the government's priorities and the nation's direction for the year ahead, stresses Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said he had briefed media editors on the Madani Budget 2026 at the ministry in Putrajaya Wednesday (Oct 8).

"The Madani Budget 2026 is not just an annual financial document but a reflection of the government's priorities and the nation's direction for the year ahead. Therefore, I stress that the media plays a crucial role in conveying the reform narrative and the national agenda for change to the people.

"God willing, I will present further details in the Fourth Madani Budget this Friday (Oct 10), with a focus on efforts to safeguard the people, strengthen the economy and reinforce the foundations of a sustainable and inclusive nation," he said in a Facebook post. - Bernama
