Five states to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds on Oct 6


KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 11pm Monday (Oct 6).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement on Sunday, announced the affected areas are Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai in Kelantan; Besut, Setiu, and Hulu Terengganu in Terengganu; Maran and Pekan in Pahang.

In Sarawak, the affected areas are Kapit (Belaga) and Miri (Telang Usan) while in Sabah, the affected areas are Nabawan, Tawau (Kunak and Lahad Datu), and Sandakan (Tongod and Kinabatangan). - Bernama
