Three-year-old girl killed by collapsing concrete pillar in Seremban


SEREMBAN: A three-year-old girl died after she was crushed by a concrete pillar in her house.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the victim was playing with her sister when the incident occurred around 7.15pm on Friday (Oct 3).

"The pillar which was holding the main gate collapsed on the victim.

"Her mother rushed her to the hospital, but the victim was pronounced dead," he said in a statement.

ACP Mohamad Hatta said a post-mortem conducted on the victim's remains showed that the cause of death was head injury.

He also advised house owners to ensure the structures in their homes were built safely to prevent a recurrence.

The case has been classified as a sudden death.
