Schoolkids clean up Pantai Puteri in conjunction with World Cleanup Day

MELAKA: About 100 school children participated in a clean up of Pantai Puteri, one of the state's most popular seaside attractions, in conjunction with World Cleanup Day 2025.

SWM Environment Sdn Bhd corporate communications general manager Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin said this year's programme involved about 100 school students, reflecting the company's ongoing commitment to instilling environmental awareness among the younger generation.

"Beach cleanliness is not just about appearances. It affects marine life, tourism and ultimately our communities.

"By engaging students directly, we are helping them become responsible custodians of the environment," he said on Tuesday (September 20).

He added that SWM Environment would continue its collaboration with schools, local authorities and community organisations to strengthen public responsibility towards waste management and ensure the coastline remains safe and attractive for visitors.
