Man arrested for dangerous driving, dispute with a woman at Bangi toll plaza

KUALA LUMPUR: A civil servant was arrested on Saturday (Sept 13) for dangerous driving and getting into a dispute with a woman driver at the Bangi toll plaza in Selangor on Friday (Sept 12).

Kajang OCP Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 25-year-old man was arrested at 9.50pm after turning himself in at the Kajang Police Headquarters.

The man's vehicle was also seized in the Dang Wangi area.

"The suspect has been remanded for a day to assist in investigations under Section 279 of the Penal Code and Rule 6(1) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959,” he said in a statement on Sunday (Sept 14).

ACP Naazron said police received a report from a 31-year-old woman, who was involved in a dispute with the suspect, at 7.50pm on Friday.

He said while the complainant was on her way to work at 6.10am, the man's car rammed into the left front side of her car at the Bangi toll plaza.

"They both pulled over to the side of the road and there was a dispute, with the suspect scolding the complainant for allegedly changing lanes without signalling,” he said. — Bernama
