Sayed Amir Muzakkir served as Hamzah Zainudin's pol sec, witness tells court


KUALA LUMPUR: A witness in the corruption trial of Sayed Amir Muzzakkir Al Sayed Mohamad confirmed at the Sessions Court here Tuesday (Aug 26) that the accused had held the position of political secretary to then Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin from 2020 to 2021.

Home Ministry Human Resources Division undersecretary Nik Noraini Nik Ya, 55, informed the court that Sayed Amir Muzzakkir held the post from March 18, 2020 to Aug 16, 2021 with duties and responsibilities based on direct orders from the then Home Minister and the end of his service was due to a Cabinet reshuffle that occurred following the change of government.
