Indian woman arrested for using fake special pass to leave Malaysia

SEPANG: An Indian national was arrested at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 on Saturday (Aug 23) after she was found trying to deceive the authorities using a fake special pass to leave Malaysia for India.

The Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency said the woman, 45, was arrested at the Departure Hall, KLIA, Terminal 1.

"Detailed checks revealed that the submitted document was unreasonable and confirmed to be false. Her attempt was foiled by agency officers," the agency said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 24).

The woman has been arrested under Section 51(5)(b) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 and has been placed at the KLIA Immigration Depot for further investigation, it added. – Bernama
