Task force records 82 statements in Zara Qairina probe


KUALA LUMPUR: The special task force investigating the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir has recorded statements from 82 individuals.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk M Kumar said students and others were among those interviewed.

"Our investigation is transparent and very detailed. There is no cover up," he added.

"The investigation is still ongoing," he said at a special press conference in Bukit Aman on Wednesday (Aug 13).

Comm Kumar confirmed there is no involvement of any VIPs in the case.

"The task force consists of me, my two deputies, officers from D11 and D5, and psychologists," he said.
