Fire breaks out at HTAR, extinguished before Bomba arrives


KLANG: A small fire broke out at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) here on Tuesday (July 22).

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said that the fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived at the scene.

"The operations commander confirmed that the fire involved a socket switch inside the red zone of the hospital and that it was fully extinguished by the hospital before the arrival of firefighters. There were no victims involved," he said.

Meanwhile, videos have gone viral on social media showing hospital staff evacuating patients in hospital beds due to the smoke caused by the fire.
