Think tank invites proposals from Chinese groups for Budget 2026 recommendations

PETALING JAYA: The Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap) is inviting proposal submissions from Chinese associations, organisations, and groups for inclusion in its policy recommendations for the upcoming Budget 2026.

In its statement, Insap encouraged Chinese guilds and associations, trade chambers of commerce and industries, professional bodies, civil society groups, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and others to submit their proposals by Monday, July 21.

"To ensure the memorandum comprehensively reflects the views of all sectors of society," the institute stated, urging diverse participation.

Proposals, which could influence the shaping of Budget 2026, can be submitted via an online form provided by Insap.

The institute has consistently submitted policy recommendations in a memorandum to the Finance Ministry annually, serving as a key reference in the budget formulation process.

Budget 2026 will be the third full budget presented by the Madani government and is expected to be tabled on October 10.
