Lorry driver killed in crash with SUV on North-South Expressway


SEREMBAN: A lorry driver was killed after his vehicle collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at KM266.9 of the North-South Expressway here.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the deceased, who was in his 40s, was killed on the spot in the 12.50pm crash on Monday (July 14).

He said two passengers in the SUV suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

"A woman who was in the front passenger seat suffered a broken leg while another woman passenger suffered a broken arm.

"The male driver escaped injury," he said.

Both vehicles were heading south when the incident happened.
