Three injured as car crashes into parked vehicle, coconut stall in Kuala Kangsar


IPOH: Three people have been injured after two vehicles crashed in front of the Kuala Kangsar police quarters on Saturday (July 5) morning.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department's operations division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received a distress call at 11.35am on Saturday and arrived at the scene within 10 minutes.

He said in the incident, a car crashed into a parked car before ramming into a roadside stall.

"The 73-year-old male driver of the first car and his 69-year-old wife sustained injuries.

"The third victim, a 49-year-old woman who owns the parked car and the stall, was also injured.

"All three victims were treated at the scene before being transported to the hospital," he said in a statement on Saturday.

He said firemen then ensured no other victims were involved and that the area was safe.
