KSM makes top 100 list, pioneers e-commerce in cooperative sector

KUALA LUMPUR: Koperasi Serbaguna Malaysia Berhad (KSM) has made history by becoming the first cooperative among over 16,000 in the country to successfully launch an e-commerce platform.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who officiated the opening ceremony of KSM’s 45th Annual General Meeting on Sunday (June 22), praised the cooperative’s digital approach in line with evolving business trends.

“Congratulations to KSM for being listed among the Top 100 Cooperatives in Malaysia for 2025.

“I am delighted and proud of KSM’s achievements,” he said in a statement posted on his Facebook on Sunday.

Dr Wee said KSM’s e-commerce platform, accessible via the KSM Shopee app, now offers a range of high-quality products and has expanded the cooperative’s business reach abroad through international trade collaborations.

Also present at the event were KSM’s lifetime honorary chairman Tan Sri Dr Tan Koon Swan, KOJADI chairman Senator Datuk Wira Koh Nai Kwong and Senior assistant director of the SKM branch, Norlizawati Binti Daud.
