Meru shooting: 46-year-old man found dead in 4WD, cops seeking public help for info


KLANG: A man was shot dead in front of a motorcycle shop in Taman Meru Utama, near here.

North Klang OCPD Asst Comm S. Vijaya Rao said that police received a call at 3.37pm informing of the incident.

"The North Klang police received information from a (police) patrolling personnel, on duty, of the shooting incident which took place in front of a premises selling motorcycles at Lorong Mahang 1, Taman Meru Utama," he said on Friday (June 20).

He added that a team of police officers went to the scene of the incident immediately.

"Initial investigations found a local man, aged 46, face down and covered in blood in the driver's seat of a four-wheel-drive vehicle."

ACP Vijaya Rao said the man was declared dead by medical personnel at the site.

The man's remains have been sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for post-mortem.
