Five suspects remanded to assist with investigations linked to a fight


KUALA LUMPUR: Five suspects linked to a recent fight at Dataran Merdeka here have been arrested.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman, in a statement today, said that the five were arrested following investigations into a viral video of the fight that had been uploaded on May 31.

"The suspects, aged between 17 and 23 years old, were believed to have been involved in the fight. All have been remanded until June 5 for further investigation," he said.

Previously, the 23-second video showed a group of motorcyclists fighting near Dataran Merdeka, with a few using their helmets as weapons.
