PKR yet to receive Zafrul's application to join party, says Fuziah

PETALING JAYA: PKR has yet to receive an official application from Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz to join the party, says Fuziah Salleh.

The PKR secretary-general stated that every application is submitted online and follows the standard process.

"The application will then be processed and presented at the party’s central leadership council meeting."

"It will be thoroughly considered before a decision is made, taking into account various perspectives, including the views of our allies in the Unity government and grassroots," she said on Saturday (May 31).

Fuziah added that she was informed Tengku Zafrul will be performing his haj pilgrimage and wished him a safe journey.

On Friday, Tengku Zafrul announced on social media his decision to leave Umno to join PKR.

The Investment, Trade and Industry Minister said he resigned as an Umno supreme council member, a Kota Raja division leader, and a party member.
