New PKR leadership aims to secure Anwar's second term as PM

JOHOR BARU: The new PKR leadership lineup is committed to ensuring that party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim secures a second term as Prime Minister after the 16th general election (GE16).

New PKR youth chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim has urged party members to maintain the strong spirit demonstrated during the party election as they approach GE16.

"No one is bigger than the party. I am certain that the new leadership will make PKR more prepared to face the general election and ensure that our president stays on as Prime Minister for a second term," he added.

Muhammad Kamil made these remarks in his closing address during the PKR national congress held at Persada International Convention Centre on Saturday (May 24).

He added that starting next month, the youth wing will provide intensive training for its grassroots members to enhance their skills and deepen their understanding of the party’s struggles.

"We have gone through a party election where members showed strong determination, and it should continue until the next general election," he said.
