Anwar assures PKR of fair seat allocation in Sabah election

JOHOR BARU: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says that he will secure a reasonable number of seats for PKR in the upcoming Sabah state election.

He said a special meeting will be held on Thursday (May 29) to discuss seat allocations for the upcoming polls.

"I have discussed the matter with Barisan Nasional and Umno chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

We will work together on the condition that Pakatan Harapan is recognised as a partner to fight for the people of Sabah," said the Prime Minister.

He made these remarks during his winding-up speech at the end of the PKR national congress on Saturday (May 24).

Anwar, also the Pakatan chairman, said efforts for the polls must start after the national congress concludes.

"After the Asean summit ends, the special meeting will be held, and I assure that PKR and Pakatan will get a reasonable number of seats," he added.
