Three killed after car crashes into divider on KL-S'ban Highway

KUALA LUMPUR: Three people were killed after the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider in the early hours of Friday (May 2).

In a statement Friday, the City Fire and Rescue department said that the incident occured along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban highway, heading towards the Sungai Besi toll plaza.

"Three men were crushed inside and firefighters took an hour to remove the victims, who were all pronounced dead at the scene.

"The bodies have been handed over to the police for further action," it said.

KL Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, in a statement, said that the victims were aged between 29 and 32 years old.

"The vehicle had lost control when taking a left turn, causing it to crash into a concrete road divider.

"Witnesses are urged to come forward to the police to assist investigations," he said.
