Tackle questions over party polls internally and not in the media, says Sabah PKR info chief

KOTA KINABALU: Any concerns about the recent PKR divisional elections should be addressed internally instead of airing grievances in the media, says the party's Sabah information chief Razeef Rakimin.

He said concerns had been raised about the new voting system.

“Even members and candidates with ministerial posts, who are MPs or assemblymen, have questions about the results," he said in a statement on Wednesday (April 23).

“Nevertheless, I think (such) issues can be discussed internally without going through the media or accusing the election committee of manipulation and so on."

He said the overall election process, from balloting to tallying, was conducted properly and the result will be confirmed and finalised after the central leadership council decides.

Razeef said the council's meeting today was a platform for members to voice their concerns.

In the divisional elections held from April 11 to 20, some of the big names that failed to win division chief posts included veterans Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad in Setiawangsa and Christina Liew in Kota Kinabalu.

Polls for the national party posts will be held on May 24.
