KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Housing and Town Development Authority (LPPB) has been told to continue its efforts to deliver affordable housing and quality townships for the people.

Deputy Chief Minister II and state Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said the agency plays a vital role in translating Sabah's development agenda into meaningful impact on the ground.

“LPPB is entrusted with a major responsibility, to provide quality, low-cost housing and develop new townships.

"I hope the team will continue to uphold the excellence they are known for,” he said at the LPPB's Hari Raya 2025 celebration here on Tuesday (April 22).

Joachim said the ministry hopes to see LPPB maintain high standards of service while strengthening collaboration to ensure that delivery of public services remains people-focused.

“This cooperation should align with the Sabah Maju Jaya development plan, which places strong emphasis on rakyat-centric initiatives,” he added.

Also present were Assistant Minister Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, LPPB chairman Datuk Masiung Banah, deputy chairman Datuk Jamaliah Antalip, general manager Datuk Rosemary Ahping, board members, and directors of LPPB subsidiaries.
