PETALING JAYA: A 16-year-old was arrested for allegedly producing deepfake explicit images of his schoolmates and selling them online.

The teenager could be charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code for the sale, distribution or circulation of obscene materials and Section 233 of the Commu­nications and Multimedia Act (CMA) for sharing offensive and inappropriate content.
