PUTRAJAYA: China's President Xi Jinping will make an official visit to Malaysia from April 15 to 17, says government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
The Communications Minister said more details of the official visit will be announced by Wisma Putra shortly.

“Malaysia will be receiving a state visit by Xi Jinping from April 15 to 17.
“Full information about the official visit... (will come) from the Foreign Ministry,” he told a press conference at the Communications Ministry on Wednesday (April 9).

Fahmi said Xi's visit is part of the government’s efforts to diversify its trade relations with various countries.
Malaysia's cooperation with China is being closely watched in the region amid growing international economic uncertainty following reciprocal tariffs announced by the US earlier this month.
According to reports, Xi will embark on a Southeast Asian tour where he will visit two other nations—Vietnam and Cambodia.
The tour will mark Xi’s first overseas visit
