Fahmi said Xi's visit is part of the government’s efforts to diversify its trade relations with various countries.

Malaysia's cooperation with China is being closely watched in the region amid growing international economic uncertainty following reciprocal tariffs announced by the US earlier this month.

According to reports, Xi will embark on a Southeast Asian tour where he will visit two other nations—Vietnam and Cambodia.

The tour will mark Xi’s first overseas visit
