Thunderstorm warning issued for five states and the Federal Territories


 

KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected across several regions in Malaysia, with a warning in effect until 1pm on Monday (April 7), says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In Pahang, areas such as Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin are on alert.

In Selangor, districts including Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang are expected to experience severe weather, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

The warning extends to Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.

In Johor, areas such as Tangkak, Segamat, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru are forecasted to be affected.
