Man loses control of car, crashes into four vehicles in JB


JOHOR BARU: Four vehicles were damaged, including a car driven by a male driver who lost control of his car and rammed into three cars at Jalan Kebun Teh near here.

Johor Baru South deputy OCPD Supt Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei said the incident took place at 2pm on March 31 (Monday) at Jalan Kebun Teh.

He said the video of the incident went viral on Thursday (April 3) on the Facebook account of JB Talks at https://facebook.com/share/v/165fRJLDB2/

“The 36-year-old driver first hit an MPV driven by a 30-year-old local male which had stopped at the road junction,’’ Supt Azrul Hisham said in a statement.

He said that after crashing into the MPV, the driver rammed into two other cars on the left side of the road.

Supt Azrul Hisham said both drivers suffered injuries, and the driver of the MPV is receiving treatment at KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital in Larkin.

“We are calling upon witnesses of the incident to come forward to the Johor Baru South Police Traffic to assist with our investigation,’’ he said, or contact assistant investigating officer Sergent Azim Abd Samad at 019-7533893.

Supt Azrul Hisam said the case is being investigated under Road Traffic Rules LN10 166/59.
