Putra Heights inferno: Over 500 victims displaced, says Nadma


PETALING JAYA: More than 500 victims of the fire that struck a neighbourhood in Putra Heights were displaced as of Wednesday noon.

According to figures from the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) portal, a total of 538 victims are currently housed at two temporary relief centres.

This was 54 more victims compared to the statistics provided at 12 midnight on Wednesday (April 2), which stood at 484.

No deaths have been recorded so far.

On Tuesday (April 1), a fire struck a neighbourhood in Putra Heights, affecting 237 premises. and damaged 78 houses and 10 shop lots.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
