Fuel prices April 3 - 9: RON97 up 5sen, RON95, diesel unchanged

KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of RON97 will increase by 5sen to RM3.33 per litre from April 3 to 8, says the Finance Ministry.

In a statement Wednesday (April 2), the ministry added that the price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre for the period.

It added that the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will also remain unchanged at RM3.03 per litre while in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, diesel will stay at RM2.15 per litre for the same period.

The statement said the prices were fixed based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," it added.
