Subang Jaya inferno: Burst pipeline isolated, says PETRONAS Gas


PETALING JAYA: The burst pipeline that led to a massive fire in Putra Heights has been isolated, says PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB).

In a statement on Tuesday (April 1), it said the surrounding PETRONAS retail stations are not affected.

"PGB confirms that a fire occurred at 8.10am at the main PGB pipeline near Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, Selangor.

"The pipeline has been isolated and all relevant stakeholders have been informed," it added.

PGB said it was working with local authorities to manage the situation and continued to prioritise the safety of the surrounding community, as well as the security of gas supply to the nation.

It added that it would provide additional information in time, as the matter is still being investigated.
