High demand for Hari Raya: KTMB adds four more ETS trains


KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) will provide four additional Electric Train Service (ETS) trains for the KL-Sentral-Butterworth and KL-Sentral-Padang Besar routes, including return journeys to meet travel needs in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

It said, in a statement Wednesday (March 19), that the additional ETS trains will operate on March 28 and 30, two days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri and two days post-celebration on April 5 and 6.

"The service offers 1,254 seats daily, including business class seat options. In total 5,016 seats will be available during this period," the statement read.

Tickets for the additional trains will go on sale Thursday (March 20) starting at 10am.

On March 3, KTMB announced that it would provide four additional ETS trains from March 28 to April 6, with a total of 40 trains daily, offering 117,996 seats.

The tickets can be purchased through the KTM Mobile (KITS) application, the official KTMB website at www.ktmb.com.my or the KTMB kiosks. - Bernama
