PETALING JAYA: Actress Bella Astillah sent Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman some words of encouragement on Wednesday (March 19) as the Muar MP appealed a prison sentence.
In an Instagram post, she wrote "May the prayers of the people accompany you @syedsaddid."

The fate of Syed Saddiq will be determined Wednesday as the Court of Appeal hears his challenge against a seven-year prison sentence, two lashes, and a RM10mil fine for four charges related to the misappropriation of funds from Armada.
The appeal will be heard over two days before a three-judge panel at the Court of Appeal where Syed Saddiq will act as the appellant and the prosecution as the respondent.
If the appeal succeeds, Syed Saddiq will be acquitted, though the prosecution can still appeal to the Federal Court.
If dismissed, Syed Saddiq will have one more chance to appeal to the Federal Court.
