Missing man found dead in Kampar drain


IPOH: A 42-year-old man who had been reported missing for three days was found dead inside a drain with his motorcycle in Kampar.

A spokesman from the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said they received a distress call on Sunday (March 16) at about 1.25am.

He said the victim was discovered inside a 1.2m deep drain in front of a Christian cemetery on Jalan Kampar-Tapah.

"According to the police, the victim had been reported missing three days ago," he said.

"The victim’s body was removed from the drain using a stretcher and handed to the police for further action," he added.
