Govt to offer 774 contractual assistant medical officers permanent posts


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 774 assistant medical officers under the sixth and seventh phases of contract appointments will be offered permanent positions as early as next month, in line with the government's commitment to strengthening the healthcare workforce.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said there are 3,264 assistant medical officers still on contract, with 2,661 of them based at the Health Ministry's training Institutes while the remainder are in private institutions.
