MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms and strong winds expected in six states


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast for Selangor, Perak, Johor and Kuala Lumpur.

In an advisory issued by the Meteorological Department at 9am on Thursday (March 6), thunderstorms are expected over the state of Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Kuala Lumpur.

Also affected are Perak (Hilir Perak), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang, Negri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau and Tampin), Melaka, Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru) and Kuala Lumpur.

Also seeing rains are Sandakan (Beluran) and Kudat (Pitas and Kudat) in Sabah.
