Motorcyclist dies in crash at traffic lights in Iskandar Puteri


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A fatal accident at the Jalan Aman traffic light intersection claimed the life of a 26-year-old local motorcyclist.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan stated that the accident occurred around 1.05am on Wednesday (March 5) when the victim was travelling towards Bukit Indah.

"Preliminary investigations found that the motorcyclist was riding in the right lane when he lost control and crashed into the road divider.

He sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead in the ambulance while en route to Hospital Sultanah Aminah," he said in a statement.

He added that the victim was riding a black motorcycle at the time of the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Further investigations are ongoing.
