Missing 19-month boy may have fallen into nearby ditch, say Tanah Merah bomba

A 19-month-old boy who went missing in Kampung Aira, Tanah Merah in Kelantan is believed to have fallen into a ditch near his home.

TANAH MERAH: A 19-month-old boy missing in Kampung Aira, Kuala Tiga in Tanah Merah, Kelantan is believed to have possibly fallen into a ditch near his home.

Tanah Merah Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Zulkifli Osman told Sinar Harian they were not ruling out the possibility that Hud Aryan Mohd Nor Hafifi may have wandered into the forest surrounding his grandmother's house in Kampung Aira, Kuala Tiga.

He stated that the search for the child, who has been missing since the evening on Monday (Feb 24) was started within a two-kilometre radius of the home on Tuesday (Feb 25), but no clues were found.

"Dogs from the Fire and Rescue Department are assisting in the operation to find Hud Aryan, hoping to provide new leads on whether he fell into the ditch or got lost in the nearby forest," he said.

His aunt, Azean Irdawaty Ramley, 44, mentioned that several religious teachers who came to assist in the search suggested this possibility.

Mohd Zulkifli noted that 20 officers and personnel from the Tanah Merah Fire Station are involved in the operation, assisted by the police and Civil Defence Force.
