MetMalaysia thunderstorm warning: For five states and one FT until 6pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a forecast of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds for five states and the federal territory of Labuan until Tuesday (Feb 18).

In a statement on Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the affected areas include Kedah (Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Pulau Pinang (Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan), and Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim).

In Sarawak, the affected area includes Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro and Matu), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri and Limbang • Sabah: Pedalaman (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Keningau) and Pantai Barat (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu andTuaran)

Also listed is the federal territory of Labuan
