Police seek witnesses in fatal Kuala Kangsar accident


IPOH: Police are looking for witnesses to assist in investigating a fatal accident at KM7 of Jalan Kuala Kangsar-Gerik near Lubuk Merbau, Kuala Kangsar.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Asst Comm Heisham Harun said those with information of the incident, whereby a 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a car crashed into his vehicle on Jan 30, are urged to come forward to the police.

"We received information about the incident at about 2.15pm.

"A 24-year-old female driver, who had exited a junction and was headed towards Kuala Kangsar, rammed into the motorcycle," he said in a statement Friday (Feb 7).

"The motorcyclist, coming from the opposite direction, died on the spot," he said.

"The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
